I, Fatty, by Jerry Stahl.
In an article that appeared in the New York Times on August 24, 2004 about Jerry Stahl's new book, I, Fatty, the story of Hollywood's Fatty Arbuckle, we had our first report of Infinitum Nihil's optioning the book as a possible project the week before. In that article (linked below) Depp is quoted as saying: "that he would not play Fatty. 'It would take a hell of a fat suit,' he commented. But he said he would be a hands-on producer, at least early on. 'Its a period that's the foundation of what we do,' he said, 'and I want to make sure the film stays in the same arena as Jerry's book.' "
In March of 2006, Laurence Dunmore was said to be on board as Director.
To date, the project remains in development.
