This 112 page novel's story is set in contemporary France, it's narrated by Antoine, our leading character who thinks that he has lived his life by this 18th birthday. But, going against his better feelings he decides to give his life another chance with kids, a wife and a job. With this choice not working out in his mind, at 35 he leaves his wife and their children to move into a retirement community named Happy Days. There he waits, not always successfully avoiding a life he didn't want to lead. A poignant and interesting read making you examine your expectations for life.

In July 2006, Variety reported that Infinitum Nihil tapped Terry Zwigoff to direct and co-write a Happy Days adaptation with Jerry Stahl.

To date, the project remains in development.
